The outputs from our quadrant position sensitive photodetector module are:
1. The combined outputs of the quadrant position sensitive photodetector's two right elements (quadrants) less the combined outputs of the quadrant position sensitive photodetector's two left elements (quadrants). This gives the horizontal beam position.
2. The combined outputs of the quadrant position sensitive photodetector's two top elements (quadrants) less the combined outputs of the quadrant position sensitive photodetector's two bottom elements (quadrants). This gives the vertical beam position
3. The combined outputs of all the quadrant position sensitive photodetector's quadrants . This gives the beam's relative intensity.
