Our quadrant photodiode based positioning modules come in several standard configurations, each with a different quadrant photodiode. In addition to our quadrant photodiode modules shown here on our website, we can modify these to accommodate any quadrant photodiode you care to use. Our modules consist of a quadrant photodiode, a sophisticated, proprietary circuit that amplifies and conditions the quadrant photodiode's signal and outputs a voltage that is proportional to the movement of your beam, all housed in a convenient, easy mounting housing with a cable and standard 9-pin plug.

The outputs from our quadrant photodiode module are:
1. The combined outputs of the quadrant photodiode's two right elements (quadrants) less the combined outputs of the quadrant photodiode's two left elements (quadrants). This gives the horizontal beam position.
2. The combined outputs of the quadrant photodiode's two top elements (quadrants) less the combined outputs of the quadrant photodiode's two bottom elements (quadrants). This gives the vertical beam position
3. The combined outputs of all the quadrant photodiode's quadrants . This gives the beam's relative intensity.
