Each of Phresh Photonics' Quadrant Photodiode Positioning Modules
is a complete module that combines a Silicon
Quadrant Photodiode (4-element array) with
the necessary amplifiers and position sensing
circuitry needed to accurately sense and
read the position of, or the movement of,
a light beam on the sensing area .
Quadrant Photodiodes produce a current that
is proportional to the light falling on it.
This current is converted and amplified to
a useable voltage. The resulting voltages
are then summed and divided by this module
to provide X, Y and Sum outputs

an accurate amplified output of the sum and
difference currents of the detector, all
in a convenient, rugged housing with an easy
to connect cable.
