Phresh Photonics announces the release of its newest product:
a Small Footprint Quadrant Photodiode Amplifier
Hybrid, p/n SiQu50-TIA.
Phresh Photonics’ SiQu50-TIA is a unique
positioning module that combines a Silicon Quadrant Photodiode with amplifiers resulting
in a complete sensing and amplification unit with a small footprint!!
With excellent response in the Vis-NIR
this module can be used with most any light
source. The SiQu50-TIA hybrid provides for amplification (104KΩ)
of each of the quadrant’s element’s
current and outputs an
amplified voltage; all in the same footprint
size of the detector itself. Just
a little over a half inch in diameter!!!
This module can be used to very accurately
determine the location, position and movement
as well as the intensity and
fluctuation of a light beam.
The standard version uses just +3 to +18 volts from a
single power supply, and has a sensing area of 8mmØ; alternative versions
for use with dual power supplies or with a smaller UV enhanced quad are also
available as well as custom circuits and packaging. The SiQu50-TIA is priced at $155.00 in small quantities and available
from stock.
Typical applications include laser beam alignment
(including in a feedback loop), target acquisition, aiming systems and other position
sensing needs.

Complete Quadrant Positioning

Phresh Photonics announces the release of its newest product: a complete
quadrant photodiode based positioning system, p/n SiQu9UV-M. This module expands and
complements Phresh Photonics' existing line of positioning modules.
Phresh Photonics' SiQu9UV-M is a complete positioning module that
combines a Silicon Quadrant Photodiode with amplifiers and position sensing
circuitry in a practical 2" X 1.25" housing. With excellent response
in the UltraViolet -Vis and NIR this module can be used with most any light
source. The housing is rugged; UL approved and has convenient mounting flanges.
The SiQu9UV-M circuit provides for amplification (104K?) of each quad
element's current and outputs a voltage of both the sum of the quadrants as
well as the differences of Top minus Bottom and Left minus Right. This module
can be used to very accurately determine the location, position and movement as
well as the intensity fluctuation of a light beam.
This version is supplied with a 3 X 3mm Ultra Violet enhanced response silicon
quadrant detector; alternative versions with larger quads are also available as
well as custom circuits and packaging. The SiQu9UV-M is priced at
$225.00 and available from stock.

Single-Axis Controller for all
Series 200 MicroDrivers |

Phresh Photonics announces the release of its newest product: The R-991 Single-Axis Controller for their line of precision linear positioning microdrivers.
The R-991 Single–axis MicroDriver control unit is compatible with
all of Phresh Photonics’ line
of precision linear positioning microdrivers as well
as other similar competitive products. The R-991
contains a PID control loop and a power amplifier, thus requiring only a +15V
supply and a TTL compatible step and directional signal input. The model R-991 controller also compares the
MicroDriver encoder output with the step command and continuously outputs error
count (if any) as well as error polarity. When combined with any of Phresh Photonics’ R200 series of microdrivers each of the R-991’s step output represents 0.059 microns of motion.
The R-991 is unique in the market as it
allows the brush/encoder motor driven MicroDriver to be treated like a stepper
motor. The R-991 Single-Axis Control Unit is useful wherever the need for
absolute position control and position information is critical, whether as part
of an instrument, in process control or manufacturing as well as in many lab
and experimental applications.
